According to iDownloadBlog, Siri made an appearance on the Android Marketplace. Rather, a ghost of Siri.
Once “Siri for Android” is downloaded and installed, it places an icon with the same graphic Apple uses for the official Siri. Once the app icon is clicked, Android’s built in Voice Control opens.
The developer of the application, “Official App”, clearly violated Apple’s copyright having used the actual Siri icon. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Apple will take any sort of action against the developer. The application has already been removed from the Android Marketplace as to be expected.
It’s clear that this “developer” is sketchy. As iDownloadBlog mentioned, “the developer also has another published app called “Pinterest“, a complete rip-off of an iOS app with the same name.”
